ROBINET AS was established on Askøy outside Bergen in 1992. For the first 20 years, our marketing activities in Norway were mainly directed towards the large pipe wholesalers who formed our distribution link to the industry in Norway.
I 2011 We took the leap from being a pure distributor of valves to becoming a full-range industrial wholesaler with a product range adapted to the maritime industry. Skilled employees with many 10 years of experience in the industry were hired and in February 2011 we opened a branch in Ulsteinvik. In August 2012 We moved into a new, custom-built office and warehouse building of 2500 m2 in central Ulsteinvik. We are now well established as an industrial wholesaler that delivers a complete range of products from a local warehouse, including valves, actuators, pipes and parts in all designs and materials.
Our customers have shown us great trust by allowing us to build our presence in this market, which is dominated by large multinational companies with little or no local presence. Customers know the expertise and strength of our employees as technical partners. Customers also know our products, as these have been supplied in this market for 20 years.
Furthermore, our partly owned company MAS Fluid Control AS has moved its workshop into the new building. Their expertise in design, construction and commissioning of complete valve control systems based on pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity gives us extra strength both on the supplier side and in technical expertise.
In these times where centralization and distancing seem to be the trend, we are doing the opposite by gathering goods, service and expertise where they belong. Where our customers are.
